Similipal National park (Odisha)


Similipal National park is located in Mayurbhanj district of odisha, India.It is mainly famous for tiger reserve forest.Similipal is protected include three reserve forest kuldhia wildlife sanctuary 272.75 square km (105.31 sq.mi), Hadgarh wildlife sanctuary 191.06 square km (73.77 sq.mi) and Similipal reserved forest 2,750 square km (1,060 sq.mi).Palpala has river started and flows down on this forest.

Similipal Chack Post Entry Point -

  Pithabata gate (Baripada) and Kaliani gate (Jashipur) have the two entry gate of the Similipal National park .kaliani gate is located in the south direction of Similipal hill and pithabata is located in the east direction of Similipal. Similipal Geography -


 The Similipal National park is located in the district of Mayurbhanj Odisha, India.An elephants reserve Crider.Ho/Santathal tribal people's have lived in the Similipal .Similipal reserved forest area is 2,750 square KM (1,060 sq.mi).In winter seasion the Similipal  weather temperature is below 10°C (50°F) and summer seasion temperature is above 25°C (77°F).

      The Meghasani hill is the highest  parts of the Similipal.Its lengths is  1,165 metres (3,822 ft).Budhabalang and Palpala river is the stating point in Similipal. Similipal eco-system is very beautiful.The government gave to permit two waterfalls for the visitors.One is Barehipani Waterfall,399 metres (1,309 fts) and Joranda waterfall,150 metres (492 fts). Barhepani waterfall is dropped at two place and flows down the out of forest.

Fauna-

      A total of 42 species of mammals,365 species of birds and 35 species reptiles have been recorded in the Similipal National park.Name of the mammals species including are  tiger, leopard, Asian elephant,deer bear,fox, jungle cat,Wild pig etc.Otherwise 365 species of birds are live in the nest,name of the birds are peacock, parrot, jungle bush Quial, woodpecker.Open PDF more birds list.


Flora-

  1076 species of plants are their in the Similipal National park and belonging to 102 families.Innmerable medicinal plants and aromatic plants are their in Similipal. Name of the plants are tall sal trees,pia sal trees,bombax Ceiba,Dendrobium transparens etc and many types of bushy green grass.
